Ive been using coconut oil for a few months now and it is such an amazing product that i strongly encourage everyone to try! there are so many benefits to coconut oil including health, it is edible, you can cook with it its helps to promote weight loss. I wanna tell you about the BEAUTY BENEFITS!
First off
- it can be used as a makeup remover, and its the best thing I've used to remove stubborn eyeliner and mascara. and its also healthy for your lashes since it is so moisturizing! if you use it you will start to notice a difference in your over all lash health. ;)
- it can be used as a moisturizer! its an oil but its non-greasy! so its great for this! put it on your face at night and around your eyes as an eye cream, your elbows, your knees, the heels of your feet! it even works great on your cuticles! Also dab some on your lips for a little extra soft pout! *kisses*
- THE NUMBER 1 thing that i use it for.. and i sware by this, is as a leave in treatment for my hair. you can put it in a night and wash it out in the morning. after you wash it out you will notice how incredibly shiny and soft your hair feels! like i said super super moisturizing! i do this about once a week. Durning the week if the tips of your hair are feeling a little dry you can take a teeny tiny bit and rub it in to your tips and go on with your day. And since it is NON-GREASY it does not stain your clothes or your sheets.
Storage: I store mine in the fridge. it has a very long shelf life. so it can be kept out at room temperature, and its stable cause its melting point is 75 degrees. if kept in the fridge it is in solid form i scrap a tiny bit with a spoon and melt it between my fingers, it melts super fast!
A VERY SMALL AMOUNT GOES A LONG WAY.
Scent: yummy fresh coconut! when i wear it at night my husband says he feels like hes sleeping next to an almond joy ;) lol
For an extra treat: add some in to your homemade banana milk shake! yum!
